I recently photographed this lovely couple for Lara’s matric dance.

We experienced a cold front in September and resorted to Plan B on nr 99 for the photo session. Thank goodness for a Plan B and The Royal Elephant Hotel in Centurion for allowing us to use your lovely facilities.

I have known Lara and her mom for a very long time and was overjoyed when they asked me to photograph her matric dance.

What an exciting time in your life! Your matric dance!

I would love to assist.

Here is what you need to know about my services:

I have been a full-time photographer for ±16 years now.

My studio is based in Pretoria East but I travel all over Pretoria for photo sessions.

Photography is my passion and I love working with people.

I use a variety of Canon Camera Bodies and Lenses.

Back-up equipment are always on standby if needed.

During my 16 years of being a professional photographer, I have refined my process as follows:

Pricing and packages are available on this website.

Complete the booking form and pay the 50% booking fee.

I will also forward you an explanation of what to expect during your photo session and my Terms and Conditions.

If you do not have a location where you would like to have your photo session done, I can suggest one of the following:

Campagne Living – Pretoria East

Rosemary Hill – Pretoria East

Cow House – Pretoria East

The Lake Side – Pretoria East

Javett Art Gallery – Pretoria

During your photo session I will take as many photos as possible.

Afterwards you will receive a link to the gallery where you can view your images and make your selection.

If you are late you will receive less images due to time constraints.

Please note that our packages do not include prints. Only digital high resolution images.

You are however welcome to order your prints on our online system.

Packages are not set in stone. You are welcome to contact me for a quote that would suit your specific requirements.

All images are colour corrected and digitally enhanced. Any advanced editing will be subject to an additional charge of ±R100 per image.

All images will be in colour, you can also select some images to be in black and white, or with special filters.

Please allow ±two weeks for editing to be completed and photo gallery to be uploaded.

The final product can be downloaded from our secure site in high resolution.

We insist on doing all outdoor photo sessions late afternoon for the best lighting options.

We do not charge extra for large groups. Perhaps just book a longer shooting time if your group is large.

A travel fee might be applicable if travelling outside of Pretoria is expected.

If you are late, this time will be deducted from the shooting time.

What an honour to photograph and share in her matric dance! I was overjoyed.

The photo session took place at the University of Pretoria’s Art Gallery – Javett.

This was my second time photographing Marissa and Adam. This time around for Marissa’s matric dance.

Marissa and Adam looked stunning! Their energy and excitement was contagious.

“And I don’t know why, but with you I’d dance in a storm in my best dress. Fearless” – Taylor Swift – Fearless 2008.

Marissa and Adam have been dating for a while. They are a fun couple and very relaxed with each other.

This made my task so much easier. A lot of the images are spontaneous. The kind of images I favour.

All the images were taken at Masion de Leo in Rietondale Pretoria.

This year I had the honour to photograph my own daughter’s Matric Dance.

At first I wanted to hire another photographer but Daniella and her date Dillan insisted that I take their photographs. I thought that I might be too rushed and nervous but on the day everything ran smoothly.

My girl and her friend, Dillan, looked amazing.

This was such a fast pace and exciting photo session.

The adrenaline was pumping and the Harley Davidson’s roaring.

If you have ever photographed events outdoors, you will know that you are not just working with people.

You are balancing thoughts of light, creativeness and time constraints all at the same time.

You have to think on your feet and not stress easily.

We were shooting in a street and had to compete with afternoon traffic.

Hopefully, none of these challenges shows 😉 and it just appears to have been a fun, easy going photo session 😉

I recently photographed this lovely couple for their matric dance.

We photographed at the gorgeous The Lakeside venue in Pretoria East.

I would really recommend this venue if you are considering an outdoor photo session (with the safety of going indoors in case of rain).

My couple was so relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera and we had a really wonderful time. The weather was also perfect on this afternoon.

Always try and schedule your photo session during the “golden hour” of the day for beautifully soft skin and no harsh shadows.

V-Ball Photo Session – Pretoria East Photographer

In February this year I photographed this lovely group of teens at the Cow House in Hazeldean. I absolutely adored this venue and the privacy it offered. The venue provided such a wonderful backdrop to our photo session.

Of course we had fun. Once again the photo session turned out to be more fun than the actual Valentines Ball.
